Learn to draft a trouser block from your own custom measurements in our new Stitch School masterclass
The best way to get the perfect fit on a pair of me-made trousers is to draft the pattern yourself. It’s not as hard as you might think! Join us on Stitch School where we’ll guide you through the trouser drafting process with easy-to-follow video tutorials packed with the pattern cutting expertise of our teachers.
By the end of the class you will have created a perfectly-fitting trouser block that you can make into a simple pair of trousers as is, or customise in so many different ways. Your new block will also come in handy when making an existing trouser pattern as you can use it to check where the pattern needs to be altered to fit your body shape.
The trouser pattern cutting masterclass includes detailed video tutorials that will show you how to create a trouser block from scratch. The course is broken down into chapters so you can stop and pick it back up whenever it suits you. You’ll be walked through taking accurate measurements (by yourself or with a friend), drafting your custom block, identifying fitting issues and drafting a facing or a waistband for your trousers.
Using Becca, Rosie & Layla, we’ll show you the process with three different body shapes so you’ll be able to see how the result works for everyone!
