Learn to sew your own hoodie in our online sewing workshop!
We designed the Drew Hoodie to be a true classic. The unisex pattern has a slightly oversized fit that suits all genders and is perfect to lounge in. The hoodie sewing pattern is exclusively available with this class and comes in our full size range of UK 6-30.
The Drew Hoodie features a front pocket to keep your hands warm, a classic waistband and cuffs. The hood is lined and is tightened with a drawstring. You can choose to use some eyelets or just make buttonholes to feed the drawstring through. We’ll show you how to do mock flat felled seams for a nice ready-to-wear finish that can be achieved with a regular sewing machine. No overlocker needed!

Who is the class for?
This course is designed for confident beginners who are ready to learn some new techniques and tackle working with heavier knit fabrics like sweatshirting. The Drew Hoodie is a satisfying make for all sewing levels and a great pattern for a really useful garment. You’ll need to have some understanding of garment construction and have made buttonholes before – unless you want to use eyelets on the hood instead, in which case you can let the hardware do the work!

Sizing & Fabric Requirements
The Drew Hoodie pattern is sized between UK sizes 6-30 and is split into two different blocks, sizes 6-20 and sizes 18-30. See the sizing charts for details on fabric requirements:
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.
What will I receive?
The Drew Hoodie workshop contains guided video lessons on how to sew up your own leisurewear. The class is split up over 9 video lessons, totalling over two hours tuition.
You’ll also receive a downloadable pattern file for the Drew Hoodie. Your pattern files will contain:
- printable pattern (in both tiled print-at-home and copyshop format) in all sizes
- fully-illustrated printable instruction booklet
- copyshop permission letter
The Drew Hoodie pattern is either 33 A4/US letter pages or 3 A0 copyshop pages (sizes 6-20), or 54 A4/US letter pages, or 3 A0 copyshop pages (size 18-30).
