Our Bilberry T-shirt has been designed to be a staple in your everyday wardrobe. It is simple to make and simple to fit as well as being a great project to test your sewing skills on!
Join Lisa as she takes you through all the steps to sewing up our Bilberry T-shirt, sharing all her hints and tips along the way! You’ll be learning how to sew with knit fabrics on a regular sewing machine, which needles and stitch length to use and how to handle knit fabrics.
Once you’ve made the Bilberry T-shirt you’ll have a great knit block that’s perfect for some pattern hacking! Shorten the bodice and add a skirt for a perfect comfy to wear dress or lengthen the sleeves for an easy cosy top. Or just make a million versions for your wardrobe!
Fabric Suggestions
The Bilberry T-Shirt works best in a cotton or viscose medium weight jersey. If it’s your first time working with knit fabrics then we definitely suggest using a cotton jersey as this is more stable and will make everything a little easier to sew! The Bilbery T-Shirt is fairly loose fitting so will work in knit fabrics with a varying difference in stretch. Go classic with a Breton stripe, bold with graphic prints or make one in every colour of the rainbow! You can find the fabric requirements for the Bilberry Top here.
Fabric Requirements
The Bilberry T-Shirt PDF sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.
This project includes:
- printable pattern (in both tiled print-at-home and copyshop format)
- fully-illustrated printable instruction booklet
- imperial/metric conversion size chart
- copyshop permission letter
So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
Never used a PDF pattern before and would like some help? Learn everything you need to know in our handy Guide to Assembling PDF Patterns over on our blog!
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DOWNLOADABLE PATTERN WHICH YOU HAVE TO PRINT AT HOME.
