Get Spring-Ready With The Dorothy Jacket 🍃
There’s a new pattern joining the ranks today.
Say hello to the super stylish Dorothy Jacket!
The Dorothy Jacket is an easy-to-wear utility jacket with a convertible collar and simple press stud fastenings.
It features roomy front patch pockets with plenty of space for all of your essentials, as well as stylish, faux chest pockets.
The fabulous drawstring waist and hip-length design is super flattering whilst being oh-so comfy to wear.
Destined to become your go-to jacket for spring, it’s unlined so the perfect light layer to throw on over your Lucy Dress, or team with your favourite pair of jeans and a Molly Top for an effortless, everyday look.
With more than a nod towards the classic military jacket, we named the Dorothy Jacket after journalist Dorothy Lawrence. Dorothy secretly posed as a male soldier during World War 1, making her the only known English woman on the frontline.
This pattern is designed with intermediate sewers in mind, and offers the chance to learn new skills such as creating an effective drawstring waist and sewing front patch pockets.
Like all our new patterns, the Dorothy Jacket is available in our new extended size range of UK 6-30.
Lisa will be showing you how to stitch up your Dorothy Jacket in our two-part sewalong on YouTube. Order your Dorothy Jacket, fabric and essential supplies now, then join us on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th March at 1pm GMT (UK time).
