Meet Lucy, Our New T-Shirt & Dress Pattern
Hello everyone! There’s a new pattern joining our collection, and if you love sewing wardrobe basics, this one is specially for you! Meet the Lucy T-Shirt and Dress!
Lucy is a versatile, universally flattering t-shirt and dress, with serious need-one-for-every-day-of-the-week potential.
As easy to wear as it is to sew, Lucy is the perfect basic, and features a scoop neckline, short sleeves and gently loose-fitting shape.
The dress version can be made with either a maxi or knee-length hem, and is pulled in at the waist with a drawstring cord and casing. Pull it in tight to accentuate your waist, or loosen it up for extra breeziness.
The maxi length version features a side-seam split to just below the knee, to make walking that little bit easier.
The Lucy T-Shirt is designed to pair perfectly with the separates from our My Capsule Wardrobe: Summer Dreaming collection. Wear yours with the Siena Skirt or Porto Trousers for a casual daytime look, or make one to match with the Alba Skirt for easy evening vibes!
Lucy is available in our new extended size range of UK 6-30. Sizes 6-20 are drafted to our standard B cup, with the 18-30 range designed for a D cup. Both blocks overlap on size 18 and 20 so that you can choose the cup size most suited to you.
Level-wise, Lucy is suitable for confident beginners who want to get to grips with knits. It’s also a fun, quick palette cleanser project for those with more experience who’d like to add some basics to their me-made wardrobe.
Lisa will be sewing Lucy live in our sewalong on YouTube on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th July, so if you’d like a helping hand (or just some company as you sew) make sure to tune in!
