Summer Dreaming Stunners from our Pattern Insiders
This week we released our brand new five pattern eBook, My Capsule Wardrobe: Summer Dreaming. We’ve been working on this eBook for months in house, but our talented and treasured team of Pattern Insiders, and a new cohort of sewers testing our extended size range have also been hard at work! We’re so grateful to these amazing women, so today we’re here to show off what they’ve been making, and celebrate how they’ve brought their own individual style to the Summer Dreaming collection.
First up, we have the lovely Suzy, who made the Ravello Dress in this fantastic print! She’s played with the border so well – we love it! It looks perfect for her life in sunny Spain!
Hannah has also made the Ravello Dress, this time in the maxi length. We love the striped fabric she’s chosen. It reminds us of lovely sunny days visiting the beach, which this dress would be just right for!
Perrine‘s also sewn Ravello, this time as the hip-height top. Lisa designed this variation to be worn as a swimsuit cover-up by the pool, but as you can see, it looks great whatever you’re up to! It’s a comfy top to throw on, and we think it’d look great over jeans too.
More Ravello love from Boon Kuan, who’s looking super glam in hers! Wouldn’t this be lovely for a balmy evening meal out, sitting outside in the evening sun? (We cannot WAIT to be able to do this again!)
Next up we have Reina and her two gorgeous makes. First we have the Sorrento Jacket, which she’s made in this lovely indigo denim with pink topstitching – love that!! It’s paired with a beautifully summery Siena Dress in this super pretty print. Reina’s chosen the wider straps rather than the rouleauxs, so no peeking bra straps. Loving this summer look!
Also rocking a Siena Dress we have Isa, who’s sewn hers in a lovely striped seersucker. If that isn’t the ultimate summer fabric I don’t know what is! We love how she’s played with the stripes on the bodice for the diagonal effect.
Another beautiful Siena from Claire! We love this fabric and button choice, and I’m a big fan of this (apparently accidental) button placement too. Such a perfect dress for a super hot day!
You can find more of Claire’s makes over on her blog, Makers Got To Make.
Samantha‘s also sewn Siena, but this time as the separate top and skirt! They look fab paired together, but equally wonderful worn with other pieces from her wardrobe. The Siena Top and jeans combo is so sassy!
We love how a change of fabric can give a completely different look, and that’s definitely the case with Jennifer‘s beautiful Siena Dress! A bold print paired with a black background gives this dress a real designer feel, and we think makes it really wearable. Adore!
Another bold change in fabric and we have this gorgeous Siena, sewn for a friend by Suzy!
We love how the shirring looks in this fabric.
Siena was a really popular choice amongst our Pattern Insiders, and we wonder whether one reason might be that you can have loads of fun with fabric choice. There are just so many options. Camelia‘s beautiful version is made in this incredible devoré fabric, and it’s just stunning!
All of our Pattern Insiders’ Sorrento Jackets turned out so amazingly pro-looking, and Maayan‘s is no exception! It’s the epitome of easy-to-wear denim jackets! We love how she’s frayed the pocket flap edges for a little personal twist!
Camelia distressed her Sorrento with sandpaper for a super pro look! Doesn’t it look like it was bought in an expensive clothes shop?
You can see more of Camelia’s Sorrento Jacket and her review of the pattern on her YouTube channel, Calcedonia Sewing.
Linda went all out with her Summer Dreaming sewing and has astounded us with all of these beautiful makes! Her Siena, Ravello (top and dress!) and Sorrento all work so beautifully together don’t you think? A true capsule wardrobe!
Maritza‘s copious Summer Dreaming makes also have us totally swooning. She hacked the Porto Jumpsuit to sew the top and trousers as separates, and we love how versatile they are! They look great together as a faux jumpsuit, but each can be combined with other makes to create an incredible number of options! We love her Porto Trousers worn together with her Sorrento Jacket! Also how beautiful is Maritza’s Alba Skirt? We adore it in this coral fabric!
And last but not least, Sarah has also been characteristically prolific, and made all five patterns! Here are her lovely Alba Skirt, Sorrento Jacket and Porto Trousers…
…and here she is looking stunning in her Siena Dress and Ravello Dress, which she made into a midi. These fabric choices are so lovely and all work so well together. Absolutely gorgeous!
