Add some stylish extra seating to your home with our new Piped Floor Cushion sewing pattern!

The top and bottom pieces are gathered into the middle creating a beautiful effect and you can add a fabric-covered button for extra detail. This cushion cover also features piping and a zip along the side for easy access when you need to wash it.

You can fill the Piped Floor Cushion with a ready-made cushion inner, some stuffing, or even make good use of all the fabric scraps you have lying around!

You’ll get to grips with sewing with upholstery fabric, inserting a long zip, making your own piping and handling some very large pattern pieces.

The Piped Floor Cushion also works as a cosy napping spot for your favourite pet and it makes for a beautiful present too!

Sewing Level

The Piped Floor Cushion is a Confident Beginner sewing pattern.

Fabric Suggestions

We recommend using a medium to heavy weight woven fabric such as cotton drill, canvas or other fabrics intended for upholstery projects. You will also need a medium weight woven fabric such as quilting cotton or linen and some cord if you’d like to make your own piping.

You may also like to use a heavy weight interfacing or backing for the main bag panels and pocket (optional).

The Piped Floor Cushion pattern is sized for a 32″ cushion inner.

What is a PDF pattern?

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

Choose to add on A0 printing and we will print the pattern on our A0 printers and post it to you so all you need to access digitally is the instruction booklet.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
