Did you know we use sustainable packaging?
If you've ordered some lovely fabric or patterns from us recently, you might have noticed that we have had a packaging upgrade! We spent a lot of time researching sustainable packaging options that would still keep your sewing goods protected as they journey from us to you, and we are proud to say that we now ship out all of our domestic parcels with recycled and recyclable packaging.
Read on to learn a little bit more about how we pack your orders.
First, we carefully cut and fold your fabric and gathered all the items in your order.
Then, we wrap everything up using a roll of recycled paper and securely fasten it using recyclable packaging tape.
We don’t use any additional wrapping, to avoid unnecessary waste.
Your parcel is then weighed and stamped - this means that you know your parcel is from us, without having to add any additional branding or stickers, which may not be recyclable.
Finally, all of the day’s orders are lined up ready to receive their Royal Mail labels. Unfortunately the Royal Mail labels are not yet recyclable - but we hope that they one day will be. For now, all you need to do is remove the label, and the rest of the packaging can go in your recycling bin.
We are very proud of our new and improved sustainable packaging and we hope it will make you even happier to receive one of our parcels in the mail!
