We're looking for an Online Shop Coordinator to become an important part of our small, friendly team in Bermondsey. This role is at the heart of our online shop, helping make sure every customer receives a brilliant experience—from carefully packed orders to helpful email support.

As a small business, everyone wears a few different hats. No two weeks are exactly the same, and there's plenty of opportunity to take ownership of your work, learn new skills, and get involved in exciting projects. Whether you're helping behind the scenes, appearing in a YouTube video, or supporting at one of the UK's biggest sewing shows, you'll be a valued part of the Sew Over It team.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and carefully pack online shop orders to a consistently high standard.
  
• Order and manage shop and packing supplies to keep everything running smoothly.
  
• Respond to customer emails in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.
• Put together our best selling sewing kits.
  
• Keep the office, stock and packing areas tidy, organised and well maintained.
  
• Take part in YouTube videos and social media content.
  
• Support the wider team with day-to-day business tasks as needed.
  
• Opportunity to work additional hours assisting with sewing classes or teaching one-to-one sessions (depending on sewing experience).
  
• Opportunity to work additional paid hours at retail events, including the Knitting & Stitching Show and The Stitch Festival.
  

Must-Have Requirements

We're looking for someone who is:

• Happy to appear on camera, or willing to build confidence and learn.
  
• Comfortable using a sewing machine with at least beginner-level garment sewing experience.
  
• Exceptionally organised and able to keep multiple tasks on track.
  
• A confident communicator with excellent written and spoken English.
  
• Someone who enjoys creating order and finds satisfaction in repetitive tasks done accurately and consistently.
  
• Friendly, reliable and proactive, with a positive attitude towards helping customers and teammates.
  
• Able to travel to and work from our Bermondsey office. This is an in-person role.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

While not essential, we'd love to hear from applicants who have:

• Intermediate sewing skills or experience making garments.
  
• Experience teaching sewing or supporting beginners.
  
• Familiarity with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
  
• An interest in content creation, photography or social media.
  
• Experience working in retail, fulfilment or customer service.

• 12 hours per week, ideally worked across Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with flexibility around start and finish times where possible.
