The Sidbury Slip Dress is a delicate, lace-adorned, slip perfect for wearing underneath your favourite me-made dresses, as a nightdress, or even as a cute summer slip dress!
Need some extra help making your Sidbury? Follow along with our online class on Stitch School: Make a lace-adorned slip. Lisa will teach you how to sew a delicate slip to wear under your favourite me-made garments, as a nightdress, or even as a cute summer dress.
The Sidbury Slip Dress has a stunning appliquéd lace front, with a bias-bound back neckline and underarms, and lovely pleated straps. It is cut on the bias and has bust darts to help you to create your perfect fit.
Lisa learned couture sewing techniques in Italy and will share her top tips for sewing with slippery fabric and lace.
You'll be a pro in no time!
Lisa will show you how to...
work with slippery fabrics
use fabric cut on the bias
create pleated straps
sew french seams
apply bias binding
choose the right lace for your project
attach the lace appliqué to the neckline
You'll have the chance to get creative with the lace to make your own bespoke design (or just copy Lisa's if you prefer!) and choose from two different lengths to suit your style.
Like all our new patterns, the Sidbury Slip Dress is available in our new extended size range of UK 6-30.
