Wondering how to style your Ruby? She looks great with a chunky jumper in winter, and as the weather (hopefully) starts to get warmer, we love to wear her with a knit top tucked into the the waistband. We have a great selection of patterns to choose from, so read on to find out our favourite knit tops to wear pair with the Ruby Skirt.
The Audrey Top
A vintage-inspired knit top, Audrey is a t-shirt with a difference. Featuring a wide neckline with three neckband options. Keep it simple with a flat neckband or add a cute little tie or a large bow on the side. The sleeves are raglan, which makes for speedy sewing, and you can choose to make them short, 3/4 or full-length.
Intermediate. Sizes UK 6-30.
The Lucia Top
Sew a sassy knit top with the Lucia Top! With a fun frill and off-the-shoulder silhouette, Lucia is deliciously simple to sew. Pull the frill down to expose your shoulders, perfect for a sunny holiday, or let it rise onto your shoulders for a more everyday look. The hacking potential is strong in this one: shorten the sleeves, turn it into a breezy crop top or lengthen her into a dress.
Confident Beginner. Sizes UK 8-20.
The Roxy Jumper
The Roxy Jumper is a stylish companion to all our dresses and high-waisted bottoms, like the Ruby Skirt. We wanted Roxy to be a classic design, but we’ve included some fun variations you can try. Go for super simple or mix it up with a bishop sleeve or a pretty gathered shoulder yoke detail. All versions are finished with a narrow neckband, cuffs and a wide waistband.
Confident Beginner. Sizes UK 6-30.
The Ultimate T-Shirt
The most versatile of our knit patterns, the Ultimate T-Shirt includes three necklines and sleeve lengths, so you can make up to 9 different versions! Choose between a crew, scoop or V neck and make the sleeves short, 3/4, or full length. Use a viscose/bamboo jersey for a nice fitted look, or go for something sturdier like French Terry or a lightweight cotton jersey (ideal for beginners) for a more classic T-shirt look.
Confident Beginner. Sizes UK 6-30.
The Edie Top
Confident Beginner. Sizes UK 8-20.
