Want to learn how to make your own patterns? This is the course for you. We will show you how to draft patterns from scratch and then make them up to fit you perfectly.
Lesson 1: Draft a skirt block based on your measurements. Make up a toile at home to check the size & fit.
Lesson 2: Check the fit of the toile. Learn how to modify the skirt into three styles.
Lesson 3: Draft a bodice block based on your measurements. Make up a toile at home to check fit.
Lesson 4: Check fit of toile. Learn how to modify the bodice into different tops.
You would get the most out of this course if you have already made a few items of clothing already. If you need to brush up on your dressmaking skills why not take our Intro to dressmaking class or Ultimate shift dress class.
We will provide all the equipment you may need, pattern paper and calico for your toile. You will need to bring fabric to make your end garments in but this is not required for the first session.
Cake and tea will be provided to help the sewing process along!
