The Emma Dress is a great everyday fit-and-flare knit dress. She features a form-fitting princess-seamed bodice with a lovely round neckline, a pretty pleated skirt and 3/4-length sleeves. The dress closes with an invisible zip in the centre back seam, but a lot of customers have told us if your fabric has enough stretch and recovery, the zip can easily be omitted!

Designed to be sewn in a stable, heavier-weight knit such as Ponte di Roma or scuba, Emma is easier to sew than you might think. The pattern is perfect for Confident Beginners and is a great one to have a go at if you’re new to knit fabrics.

The PDF sewing pattern is 27 A4/US Letter Size pages, 2 A0 pages (sizes 6-20), or 32 A4 pages, 36 US Letter Size pages or 2 A0 pages (sizes 18-30).

What is a PDF pattern?

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

Choose to add on A0 printing and we will print the pattern on our A0 printers and post it to you so all you need to access digitally is the instruction booklet.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
