Fancy some extra help?
The Emma Dress pattern, along with the Alice Top, is also available as part of our Intro to Sewing with Knit Fabrics online class on Stitch School, our online sewing classroom. The class includes patterns and video tutorials as well as downloadable written instructions. You can buy the class individually for £60, or get it for free as part of a Premium Stitch School subscription.
Find out more about Stitch School here.
For Emma we recommend medium weight knit fabrics, such as ponte di Roma, scuba and heavier jerseys.
The Emma Dress sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 6-30. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home. Simply download, print, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
