The Full Circle Skirt is the ultimate party skirt. With maximum twirlability and a gorgeous 1950’s silhouette, it’s flattering on all shapes, cinching you in at the waist before skimming out over the hips. For full-on vintage vibes, we love wearing it over a petticoat!

Made up of just three pieces, the Full Circle Skirt is a satisfyingly simple sew. For those who like to build their skills, we’ve included three zip insertion methods into the instructions: a centred zip, an invisible zip and a lapped zip. Whichever method you choose, you’ll easily be able to whip one of these up in an afternoon.

With tonnes of fabric options, the Full Circle Skirt is incredibly versatile and makes a wonderful pattern to see you through all seasons. Make it in a lovely crisp cotton lawn for summer, or a lightweight wool for a warm winter skirt.

Fabric Suggestions
When it comes to fabric choices, the Full Circle Skirt is hugely versatile. For beginners, we recommend a light to medium weight stable woven fabric such as cotton poplin, lawn or broderie anglaise. Intermediate and advanced sewers could try a jacquard, lightweight wool, suiting, or something with more drape such as a medium weight crepe.

Fabric Requirements
The Full Circle Skirt sewing pattern is sized between UK sizes 6-30. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.

Like all our patterns, the sizes are nested to make it easier to grade between the sizes, depending on your measurements.

What will I receive?
The downloadable pattern file contains:

  • printable pattern (in both tiled print-at-home and copyshop format)
  • fully-photographed printable instruction booklet
  • copyshop permission letter

The Full Circle Skirt pattern is either 28 A4/US letter pages, or 2 A0 copyshop pages (sizes 6-20) or 36 A4/US letter pages, or 2 A0 copyshop pages (sizes 18-30).

If you purchase the PDF Pattern + Copyshop Printing option, you will also receive your pattern printed on A0 paper in the post. Find out more about our PDF Printing Service here.

So what is a PDF pattern?
A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper. Alternatively you can choose to have the copyshop files printed on large A0 paper, and posted to you at home. If you’re using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
