You can use thread chains to secure parts of your sewing to one another, such as a skirt lining and outer. This can be useful to stop your lining moving about too much, but the nature of the thread chain also means that your lining can still move independently and it won't alter the look of your finished garment.

Thread chains look much fancier than they are and they're a really easy way to add something special into something me made.
