The Salma is a classic jersey shift dress, perfect for feeling dressy whilst remaining super comfortable at home. The easy-to-wear design creates an incredibly simple silhouette that suits almost every shape and is adaptable for every occasion!

The Salma Dress is a versatile make with bust darts and plenty of options to make her work for your wardrobe! Team with a knitted cardi and slippers to stay snug and stylish at home, or dress her up with a Suraya or Coco and some little ankle boots or cute heels.

We wanted Salma to be a classic shift dress design, but we’ve also added some variations to help you to mix it up! Go for super simple round neck, cute v-neck or chic roll neck, and choose a standard sleeve or mix it up with a pretty puff sleeve. Pick your desired length and away you go!

For the Salma Dress, we’d recommend a medium to heavy weight knit such as Ponte di Roma, French Terry and sweatshirt knit, perfect for creating a super cosy dress that’ll keep you warm throughout the year.

The Salma Dress sewing pattern is available in UK sizes 6-30. The pattern is split into two different blocks: sizes 6-20 (B Cup), and sizes 18-30 (D Cup). See the size charts below for details on fabric requirements.

The Salma Dress pattern is either 41 A4 pages, 40 US letter pages, or 2 A0 pages (sizes 6-20), or 52 A4 pages, 50 US letter pages, or 3 A0 pages (size 18-30).

What is a PDF pattern?

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

Choose to add on A0 printing and we will print the pattern on our A0 printers and post it to you so all you need to access digitally is the instruction booklet.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm. Is this sewing pattern layered?
