An alternative method for applying interfacing
Online Class + PDF Sewing Pattern
You’ll usually be instructed to finish the exposed edge of an interfaced facing with an overlocker or zigzag stitch to stop things from fraying. However there is another method that can give you an even neater finish!
By sewing your interfacing (whether iron-on or sew-in) to your fabric, you end up with a smooth seamed edge to your facing that’ll be very satisfying to see on the inside of your garment!

Incredibly versatile, the Penny Dress can be sewn in a huge range of woven fabrics. If you're a beginner we recommend choosing a cotton lawn, seersucker or linen, whilst intermediate stitchers can have fun with drape, with rayon, viscose and lightweight crepes. With minimal interruptions on the bodice and skirt, there's lots of scope to make a statement with a bold print for a trendy summer look.
