Intro to Pattern Drafting: Jersey Bodice and Sleeve

Learn how to draft a jersey block, so you can get creative and make your own knit patterns perfectly fitted to your measurements.

In this class, Layla will teach you how to draft a jersey bodice and sleeve block from your measurements and will tackle fit adjustments on her block as well as Rosie's and Jemima's, so you can see the process on different body types.

Once you've drafted your block, Layla will also show you how to turn it into two jersey tops: a casual t-shirt with grown-on sleeves and a twist detail at the front, and a pretty square-neck top with puff sleeves.

Who is this class for?

You'll benefit most from this class if you are familiar with sewing patterns, have sewn some garments before, and have worked with jersey or knit fabrics. It is a straightforward introduction to pattern drafting so you don't need to have done any pattern drafting before. If you're nervous about pattern drafting then we'd recommend starting with this class before moving onto our woven Intro to Pattern Drafting series.
