Our capsule wardrobe vintage sewing pattern collection:
Marilyn Dress/Blouse
Inspired by the ultimate icon, Marilyn Monroe, this revere dress is a classic 1950s style. Mix and match the skirts with the Miriam Set to choose the shape that suits you best. We fell in love with this revere bodice so much that we decided to also adapt it into a blouse to wear with separates. You can also make the skirt on its own for a quick make that’s perfect for beginners. And it has pockets!
Miriam Set: Dress & Jacket
Named after the incredibly stylish character Mrs Maisel (the Marvellous Mrs MaiseI), this cute jacket and dress set can be worn together or separately, perfect for special occasions. The dress is waisted and comes with the option of pairing it with a pleated or darted straight skirt or with the fuller Marilyn skirt, giving you so many options. The straight skirt can also be made on its own and worn with the Vera Blouse.
Rita Trousers
For the rockabilly lovers amongst you, these capri style pants are a must-have. Close-fitting with a super flattering raised back, the Rita trousers have so many interesting details, from the waistband to the hem. Wear them with the Vera Blouse or the Marilyn Blouse for different looks.
Vera Dress/Blouse
Vera can look totally Twiggy or like something straight out of the Great Gatsby. Thanks to countless neckline and sleeve variations, you can make it the perfect design for you. It also looks beautiful as a blouse, worn with the skirts and trousers.
Vivienne Coat
This coat was designed for all the Betty Draper-style (Mad Men) lovers out there. It works beautifully with all of the designs in this book, especially the Marilyn Dress. Vivienne is just the right shape and length to compliment the fit and flare look we love so much. Choose to make it with or without welt pockets and with a tie belt or a simple back belt.

What level is the eBook aimed at?
Aimed at confident beginners and upwards, there’s a pattern for every skill level in this vintage pattern collection. Most patterns fall in the intermediate range, though the Vera Blouse & Dress can be tackled by a confident beginner. Marilyn, Miriam and Rita are aimed at sewers with a bit more experience, and the Vivienne Coat requires the know-how of advanced sewers. With loads of variations, each pattern can be made simpler or more challenging depending on which version you choose. For instance, whilst the Marilyn Dress & Blouse fall in the intermediate territory, the skirt-only variation can easily be tackled by a beginner. All patterns come with with clear instructions and step-by-step diagrams, guiding you through every stitch.
