The Farley Shacket is the perfect combination between a shirt and a jacket and is a great transitional layering piece. The design is slightly oversized and features buttons down the front and on the cuffs, a classic collar with a half-moon collar stand, and a panelled body. Clever double-entry pockets are built into the front seams: keep your hands warm on the outside and your belongings safe on the inside.
Version one is hip-length and will work in most woven fabrics, from a classic shirting to needlecord and flannel, as well as heavier fabrics. Version two is cropped and will work best in a more structured denim or canvas to hold its shape.
The longer shacket will work thrown over any outfit and the cropped version is great as part of a co-ord set: make a matching pair of Rosemary Trousers (also in the Everyday Edit eBook) to create a head-to-toe look.
