Meet the Layla Dress; your new throw-on-and-go favourite.

This oversized dress is designed for easy, everyday comfort, with a relaxed silhouette that doesn’t feel shapeless.

What makes Layla special is the cut-away dart and clever twist at the waist; an innovative (but deceptively easy!) construction technique that gives the dress subtle shaping exactly where you want it, while the rest of the dress stays free and easy to wear. The result is a dress that skims the body beautifully, offering just enough definition to feel considered and flattering.

Grown-on sleeves finish in neat cuffs, and a soft neckband frames the neckline for a clean, polished finish. A side split adds ease of movement and a little extra interest to the relaxed shape.

We have chosen an olive green soft cotton jersey for this kit - this is our favourite type of fabric for the Layla Dress as it makes a comfortable, breathable dress for Autumn with enough structure to make the twist stand out.

This kit includes the pattern, instructions, fabric and supplies to sew up the Layla Dress, PLUS the PDF pattern so you can make Layla again and again.
