What is A0 printing?

Sew up in soft cotton jersey, this oversized dress is designed for easy, everyday comfort, with a relaxed silhouette that doesn’t feel shapeless.

What makes Layla special is the cut-away dart and clever twist at the waist; an innovative (but deceptively easy!) construction technique that gives the dress subtle shaping exactly where you want it, while the rest of the dress stays free and easy to wear. The result is a dress that skims the body beautifully, offering just enough definition to feel considered and flattering.

Grown-on sleeves finish in neat cuffs, and a soft neckband frames the neckline for a clean, polished finish. A side split adds ease of movement and a little extra interest to the relaxed shape.

Fabric Suggestions

The Layla Dress is designed to be sewn up in knit fabrics. We recommend light to medium weight knit fabrics such as cotton jersey. Viscose or bamboo jersey will provide a much drapier version of Layla. Avoid chosing bulky fabrics as this could make it difficult to sew the twist.

The Layla Dress is available in UK sizes 6-30 and is split into two different blocks: sizes 6-20 (B cup) and sizes 18-30 (D cup). See the size charts below for details on fabric requirements.

The Maria Dress pattern is either 41 A4/US letter pages, or 3 A0 pages (sizes 6-20), or 48 A4, 49 US letter pages, or 3 A0 pages (size 18-30).

What is a PDF pattern?

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

Choose to add on A0 printing and we will print the pattern on our A0 printers and post it to you so all you need to access digitally is the instruction booklet.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
