Make your perfect pair by choosing between a cropped ‘mum jeans’ version, a timeless straight leg or a slightly flared leg for a vintage touch.

Including all the markers of the classic blue jeans from the topstitching to the hardware and the coin pocket, we designed the Ultimate Jeans with flattering proportions to suit everyone!

Our clearly illustrated instructions will guide you through each step to achieve the sewer’s milestone of making your own jeans. With this pattern you’ll learn some classic techniques for trouser-making and working with denim fabric.

We recommend doing a toile so you can get the fit just right before you get stuck in with the construction and create your Ultimate Jeans.

Fabric Suggestions

Medium weight woven fabrics such as non-stretch denim, corduroy and twill. You can use stretch denim but it will require more fitting/you may need to go down a size.

Pattern Sizes & Fabric Requirements

The Ultimate Jeans pattern is available in UK sizes 6-30 and is split into two different blocks, sizes 6-20 and sizes 18-30. See the size charts below for details on fabric requirements.

The Ultimate Jeans pattern is either 33 A4/US letter pages or 4 A0 pages (sizes 6-20), or 43 A4/US letter pages, or 4 A0 pages (size 18-30).

What is a PDF pattern?

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

Choose to add on A0 printing and we will print the pattern on our A0 printers and post it to you so all you need to access digitally is the instruction booklet.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
