We wanted to create the ultimate crisp linen shirt sewing pattern – enter the Jodie Shirt, a great addition to your summer wardrobe!

With slightly utilitarian details, it’s a classic piece that’s easy to mix and match with so many different garments. Jodie features a revere collar with a partial collar stand, elbow-length cuffed sleeves and a split hem detail, as well as a back yoke and chest patch pockets with flaps to keep your essentials handy.

Designed with linen in mind, the Jodie Shirt can also be made in a lightweight cotton – choose a bold print for impact. Cotton and linen are easy to work with so you can enjoy the shirt construction without being overly challenged by the fabric. If you haven’t made a shirt before, this is a perfect pattern to try because of the simple collar construction and no fiddly cuff openings to deal with! Its loose shape also makes it easy to fit and cool to wear.

The Jodie Shirt sewing pattern is available in UK sizes 6-30. The pattern is split into two different blocks, sizes 6-20 (B cup) and sizes 18-30 (D cup). See the size charts below for details on fabric requirements.

The Jodie Shirt pattern is either 27 A4/US letter pages or 2 A0 copyshop page (sizes 6-20), or 54 A4 pages, 55 US letter pages, or 3 A0 copyshop page (size 18-30).

What is a PDF pattern?

A PDF pattern is a downloadable pattern that you print yourself at home on A4 or US letter paper.

Choose to add on A0 printing and we will print the pattern on our A0 printers and post it to you so all you need to access digitally is the instruction booklet.

If you're using the A4 or US letter options, simply download, print at home, tape together and let the sewing begin! When you print the pattern, print at 100% (you might have to uncheck the scale box). Print page 1 first, the square should measure 10cm x 10cm.
